Program Overview

Program Overview-r50The teaching model for Beyond Basic Learning: The International School (BBLI) is based on differentiated learning, which takes into account that not all children learn in the same manner or style.

A leading psychologist in the study of young children, Leve Semenovich Vygotsky, advocates that an effective educational approach for understanding and nurturing children's competencies and educational frameworks must take into account each child's history and cultural background. Therefore, BBLI provides instruction that is designed to meet individual educational needs: physical emotional, social and cognitive.

In alignment with our teaching model, our classrooms are named to reflect the stages in the metamorphosis of a butterfly; Cocoon and Caterpillars.

Cocoon classrooms serve young and older infants

Caterpillar classrooms are for toddlers

Frequently Asked Questions

{slider Q: At what age can my child start Beyond Basic Learning: The International School (BBLI)?}

A: BBLI accepts children from two months old through five years old.

{slider Q: What is your enrollment process?}

A: BBLI has ongoing enrollment.  However, students in the age group 2.6 years to 5 are primarily enrolled in September for the fall session.  Some of our students enroll in July for the summer sessions and continue through the fall.  Parents can select two, three, four or five full-day sessions.  However, the popularity of our infant program can at times limit those options.

{slider Q: May a child enroll just for the summer program? }

A: Yes, BBLI does offer a summer program from the first of July through the third week in August.  Kindergarden bound children are eligible to enroll in the summer program.  Please note that BBLI dedicates the last two weeks of August to staff training and building maintenance.

{slider Q: Do you offer tours of the school?}

A: Tours are available at all locations. The tour includes a 15-minute walk through the facility and a question and answer period. Children must be listed in BBLI's pending registry to schedule a tour.

{slider Q: How can I enter my child's name on your pending registry? }

A: Click here for our pending registry form.

The Enrollment Process

There is no financial obligation to enter your child's name onto our pending registry. However, please note that all pertinent requested information must be submitted and updated in order to be considered for an interview.

Once on the registry, families may receive information about upcoming events such as tours and the Annual Open House.
